Description

Synopsis

Every move you make could be your last… Are YOU brave enough to enter the trap-filled lair of the evil sorcerer Balthus Dire?

You are a fearless young wizard, armed with magic spells – the last hope to defeat this dread magician and warlord. You must enter his forbidden citadel and take on his monstrous minions, or perish in the process.

Opinion

In The Citadel of Chaos, the evil warlord Balthus Dire is looking to expand his control over the nearby Vale of Willow, a peaceful human farming community. As the Grand Wizard’s star pupil, it’s up to you to use your sword, magic, and your wits to make it through the dire citadel, defeat the warlord, and protect the peaceful citizens of the Vale.

This is the first Fighting Fantasy book to introduce MAGIC as a skill, allowing you to wield powerful spells that you can use in battle.

If you want to start playing The Citadel of Chaos quickly, you can even select a character from a pre-determined list included in the book. The roguish Elsevier Gringlewald, noble Tybalt Spellcaster, or powerful Elif Montaigne are all equally fun to play, and each character has their own specializations to play with.

Do you have what it takes to face the Citadel of Chaos, adventurer?
